News from The Marsh
SPRING 2019
It is with great sadness that I report the unexpected death
of Jamie Robertson. Jamie was a relatively newcomer to trialling, but proved
himself a capable caring, well respected handler. He will be remembered for the
empathy and insight he showed when training his dogs.
Hughie Cole also passed away recently. A long standing member
and supporter of the society, his “larger than life” personality will be sadly
missed as competitor, spectator and friend. Our thoughts are with Hazel and
Family.
New Trophies
John Gascoigne “Silence is Golden” cup will be presented at
the Kent Championship and The Don Fathers trophy for improvement, presented
annually at the end of the season.
All England
Nursery Trial
Philip Davies-Russell, Andy Jackman and Rob Hawke with Fiona
Davies-Russell as reserve, represented the South. Despite their best efforts
the team was unplaced. Windermere Sheepdog Society were victorious, with Emma
Gray taking the best individual run award.

Hill.
Romney Marsh will be hosting the South-East Championship at
Snargate, on Saturday 19th October 2019. Please make a note of
